Réalta Technologies are searching for an Automation Engineer with Allen-Bradley systems experience to support a Medical Device client of ours based in Cork. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience working as an Automation Engineer in a manufacturing environment.

- Programming, testing, and commissioning of Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance of existing automation systems to ensure minimal downtime.
- Integrate Allen-Bradley PLCs with other industrial systems such as HMI and SCADA.
- Maintain and update documentation, including PLC code annotations, electrical schematics, and system configuration.
- Assist in the development and review of validation lifecycle documentation including URS, FDS, SDS, IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Execute and document test protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) ensuring traceability to requirements and design specifications.
- Ensure all automation systems are developed and maintained in compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11 and data integrity principles.
- Participate in system upgrades, validation processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley platforms, including Studio 5000 and RSLogix 5000.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP or DeviceNet is a plus.
- Experience supporting or executing validation documentation such as IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and traceability matrices.
- Familiarity with GxP requirements, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in industrial automation and control systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with an eagerness to grow and take on new challenges.
