Overview

PM Group's Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) Department are currently seeking to recruit a Project Manager to be based on our clients site in Dundalk Co. Louth.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the successful global execution of assigned short-term projects. The operational Project Manager role involves oversight of assigned projects from commercial handover through to final project close out. Our clients Project Managers are the central focus point for the control of all aspects of the project lifecycle.

  • Supporting Operations Managers in the planning and execution of all project work, providing project assistance in, but not limited to, the following activities:
  • Liaising with internal and external project stakeholders on all aspects of project planning and execution.
  • Developing project plans and budgets.
  • Resource planning.
  • Overseeing the daily activities of the project.
  • Maintaining project records and paperwork.
  • Sourcing external contractors as required by the project.
  • Ensuring adherence to our clients health and safety standards / objectives.
  • Project Logistics and Coordination.
  • Meeting project budgets, assessing the financial and operational risks for potential projects and providing feedback to the sales team / risk escalation.
  • Providing daily operational updates.
  • Reporting on project performance against both financial and non-financial project objectives.
  • Project Cost Management.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Managing relationships with key vendors.
  • Supporting non-operational functions with planning as required, ensuring alignment with operational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or Equivalent.
  • Fluent business English.
  • Minimum 3 years in a Project Management or Operations Management position where execution at pace was required.
  • Translates development goals into actionable plans. Makes timely, confident decisions.
  • Results orientated, proactive and reactive.
  • Numerical aptitude with ability to understand commercial impact of decisions.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and proactive nature with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentational, problem solving and team working skills.

Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience in a construction, renewables, oil & gas sector.
  • Previous experience working within the Marine sector is an advantage.
  • Additional project management qualifications (eg Prince 2, PMP, CMI).
