Role Description:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure and rail projects, taking responsibility for defined tasks, work packages and coordination activities under the guidance of a Project Manager or senior project leader. You will contribute to programme, commercial, risk and governance activities while building the experience and confidence needed to progress your career within Arcadis' project and programme management community.
Working within a global, multidisciplinary consultancy, you will collaborate closely with project managers, technical specialists and client teams, supporting effective project delivery through clear communication, robust coordination and the use of digital tools and data-led reporting. You will help create better outcomes for clients and communities while contributing to the continued growth of Arcadis' infrastructure capability in Ireland.

Role Accountabilities
- Support the delivery of defined project tasks, work packages and coordination activities to achieve programme, cost, quality, health and safety, and sustainability objectives
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, trackers and reporting packs, ensuring information is accurate, timely and aligned with governance requirements
- Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across project interfaces, helping ensure teams are aligned on deliverables, actions, dependencies and deadlines
- Collate and interpret project data to support the production of clear reports, dashboards and insights that inform decision-making and effective project control
- Support the monitoring of project performance by identifying emerging risks, issues, trends and opportunities, and escalating appropriately through agreed management channels
- Assist with budget tracking, forecasting inputs, change control and financial reporting in line with Arcadis systems, processes and commercial requirements
- Support project governance activities, including preparing meeting materials, action logs, decision records and performance updates for internal and client-facing forums
- Contribute to effective stakeholder engagement by supporting communication with internal teams, client representatives and key project partners in a professional and collaborative manner
- Use digital tools, reporting systems and project management processes to improve delivery visibility, consistency and efficiency
- Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion, technical learning and client focus, aligned with Arcadis values and ways of working
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Degree, diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
- Experience supporting the delivery of infrastructure, engineering or construction projects within a structured project environment
- Understanding of core project management principles, including planning, reporting, risk management, governance and stakeholder coordination
- Awareness of commercial and delivery drivers, including budget management, programme constraints and change control
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to professional development and willingness to work towards a recognised professional qualification such as APM or equivalent
Desirable:
- Experience working in rail, transport or other complex infrastructure sectors
- Exposure to project controls tools, dashboards or digital reporting platforms
- Experience of supporting client-facing reporting, governance forums or multidisciplinary design coordination
- Progress towards professional membership or accreditation with APM or another relevant professional body
