Quality Assurance Supervisor - Night Shift
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to take ownership of a high-performing QA function within a dynamic food manufacturing setting. You will play a key role in shaping quality standards, driving food safety excellence, and leading a team that ensures products consistently meet the highest regulatory and customer expectations.

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 10:00pm - 6:00am / 12:00am - 8:00am
  • Salary: €65'000 DOE

What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & Team Development
  • Inspire, lead, and develop a motivated QA team, fostering a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Identify development opportunities, support training initiatives, and strengthen team capability
  • Drive performance to meet both individual and departmental objectives
Food Safety & Quality Systems
  • Take ownership of the Food Safety and Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer standards (including BRCGS)
  • Continuously review and enhance systems, ensuring robust controls and full due diligence
  • Oversee documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across operations
Audits, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead site audit readiness and support external audits, customer visits, and inspections
  • Investigate non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions
  • Monitor site performance through KPIs, identifying trends and driving measurable improvements
Operational Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with production and other departments to resolve technical challenges and improve factory standards
  • Plan and allocate QA resources effectively to meet operational demands, including new product launches
  • Ensure strong communication of quality, food safety, and compliance matters across all levels
Quality Assurance & Controls
  • Oversee raw material and finished product assessments, ensuring specifications and documentation are up to date
  • Review supplier certifications and approve materials in line with quality requirements
  • Manage complaint investigations thoroughly, ensuring timely and professional responses
Standards, Hygiene & External Partners
  • Maintain high GMP standards through structured audit programmes and training delivery
  • Manage third-party service providers such as hygiene, pest control, and calibration teams
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and all systems meet regulatory and customer expectations
What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
  • Experience in a quality-focused role within food manufacturing
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable
  • Level 4 Food Safety and HACCP qualifications
  • Experience with customer and third-party audits
  • Solid understanding of food safety legislation and quality systems
  • Experience working with BRCGS standards and customer codes of practice
  • Strong grasp of HACCP principles and quality management systems
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office
