You will collaborate closely with product, platform, and SRE teams to ensure our data infrastructure delivers performance, resilience, and compliance at global scale.

What you will accomplish
- Design and implement scalable, highly available PostgreSQL architectures, including replication, partitioning, and disaster recovery.
- Improve query performance, indexing strategies, and database configurations following PostgreSQL guidelines.
- Develop tools and services to automate provisioning, monitoring, and deployment of databases and related systems.
- Implement and maintain strong database security standards, including role-based access control and encryption.
- Collaborate with software, DevOps, and analytics teams to integrate PostgreSQL solutions with applications and pipelines.
- Mentor engineers and implement guidelines for schema development, tuning, and database operations.
What you will bring
- 7+ years of hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL in large-scale production environments.
- Strong programming proficiency in C/C++, Python, Go, or Java, with experience building automation or backend tools.
- Expertise in SQL and PL/pgSQL, with a deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals and performance tuning.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments (Docker).
- Proven knowledge of replication, backup, and migration strategies, including cross-platform migrations (e.g., Oracle → PostgreSQL).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
