Job Description
Gleoite Homes are recruiting a Roofing Carpenter(s) (Mid & Senior) to work on various projects in Galway and in our Manufacturing Facility in Kilchreest.
Responsibilities
Constructing and installing wooden structures and fixtures, such as roof frames, joists, and rafters
Measuring and cutting materials to the required size and shape using hand and power tools
Installing roofing materials, such as shingles, tiles, and metal sheets
Inspecting and repairing damaged roofs and making necessary adjustments
Following safety procedures and guidelines while working at heights and with heavy machinery
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Communicating effectively with team members and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects
Keeping tools and equipment clean and well-maintained to ensure optimal performance

Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required
Benefits
Location: Site-based, with the majority of work in Galway City and County
- Pay Rate: €23-27 per hour
- Hours: 40-hour paid week
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 16:30
- Overtime and Saturday work available
