Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Engineer to join Creative Technology Ireland. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll collaborate closely with Sales, Design, and Project Management teams to deliver high-quality broadcast and AV solutions for a wide range of clients.
You'll be involved in the full project lifecycle-from technical design and tender support through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing technical support. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales and Design Teams: Develop technical solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Tender Submissions: Assist in completing tender submissions with the Sales and Design teams.
- Technical Design Development: Create detailed technical designs, including system schematics, cable schedules, materials requirements, and project documentation.
- Project Planning: Develop project plans and schedules in collaboration with the Project Management team.
- Installation Supervision: Oversee and assist installation teams to ensure high-quality installations.
- On-Site Coordination: Liaise with on-site managers, technical staff, and building contractors as required.
- Equipment Configuration: Configure broadcast, AV, and IT equipment according to system design and customer requirements.
- Customer Demonstrations: Demonstrate system functions to customers and ensure satisfaction with installation and functionality.
- Equipment Tracking: Track serial numbers, MAC addresses, firmware, and details of installed equipment.
- Commissioning Forms: Complete commissioning forms for installed equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure work is completed to a consistently high standard and request revisits or fixes if required.
- Issue Reporting: Advise of any on-site issues and report to the project manager or site manager.
- Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support for systems as required, including potential 'on-call' duties.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- 3rd level qualification in engineering, science, or a technical discipline-or equivalent hands-on experience.
Desirable:
- AVIXA certification or similar AV systems qualification.
- Networking certifications such as CCNA.
- Experience in broadcast engineering, AV integration, or similar technical fields.
