Who are we looking for?
Carne is looking for an experienced AML / KYC specialist to join our growing AML Client Advisory team. In this position, you will act as a Money Laundering Reporting Officer ("MLRO") and Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer ("AMLCO") for a portfolio of Ireland and Cayman domiciled clients / funds.
As we seek to meet our growth targets, develop our people, create operational efficiencies, and improve the governance and client experience, there is an ongoing program of work, focused on developing our operating model across people, governance, clients, new business, oversight, technology and change. You will have a role in continuous development of the MLRO service and supporting the overall program of work, while maintaining and fostering strong client relationships.
You will be expected to work closely with other members of the AML Management team, your own functional team, cross-functional teams within Carne and within industry forums as applicable.

What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- 7+ years' experience working in an AML/KYC role in the funds industry.
- University degree (or equivalent qualification) and ideally with the relevant Compliance or Legal qualification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all relevant legislation and regulation in terms of AML/CTF for Irish and/or Cayman domiciled Funds and Delegates.
- Additional differentiating factors will be exposure to other jurisdictions such as Luxembourg and experience in performing KYC on Assets or Know Your Asset ('KYA').
What is your role and your responsibilities?
- Responsible for advising Boards on relevant Regulatory matters and performance of delegates in that regard for the respective entities covered by the MLRO.
- Review all AML /KYC Policies, Procedures and Job Aids to ensure they align with guidelines/ legislation.
- Complete Due Diligence visits on all relevant entities/delegate types and report on same.
- Complete and present Risk Assessments.
- Complete and present Board Reports.
- Act as a key point of escalation for AML related issues from the Administrator, the Board, Investment Manager and Distributors.
- Act as point of contact with the local authorities and regulators.
- Remain current and provide appropriate Advisory knowledge regarding regulation on AIFM /UCIT business.
- Collaborate with other teams within Carne to provide services and oversight for Clients and third parties.
- Support Clients on the distribution of funds across all relevant jurisdictions.
- Provide Internal KPIs and review those received from the administrator, distributor, investment manager.
- Develop relationships with key industry participants.
