Market Operations Manager

Overview:

We are currently looking for aMarket Operations Managerto join our expanding team.

The successful candidate willbe responsible formanaging the market participation of the company's demand response portfolioin Ireland and Northern Ireland.

We are looking for someone withsignificant experienceand a strong understanding of the Irish electricity market, ideally with experience managing capacity contracts including capacity bid preparation. A highly motivated, self-driven, analytical individual who is familiar with the Irish electricity policy & regulatory landscape.Strong communicationskills with the ability to analyse complex material and communicate same to management, and the wider business, in a clear and succinct manner.



Theday-to-dayrolewill involve the management of interactions with the electricity market operator, transmission system operator, distribution system operator, and other stakeholders, both internal and external to the company, as necessary to ensure the successful onboarding ofadditionalcapacity to the company's demand response portfolio and theoptimalutilisation of existing capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market compliance & operations:Manage market registrations, modifications, testing, and all regulatory submissions, ensuringtimelymarket entry, ongoing compliance, and adherence to electricity market timelines and licence obligations.
  • Regulatory & stakeholder engagement:Maintainstrong working relationships with regulators, system operators, and internal teams, handling day-to-day queries,representingthe business at forums, and coordinating cross-functional delivery.
  • Market insight & strategy support:Lead cross-functional analysis and brainstorming toidentifyopportunities, translate insights into clear commercial recommendations, andadvisethe MD and SLT on market strategy.
  • Internal coordination & reporting:Deliver concise, data-driven reports, presentations, and memos to stakeholders, while supporting commercial and operational teams to meet client, installation, and volume commitments.


Essential Requirements:

  • Previousrelevant experience in the electricity industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail andapragmatic approach.
  • Able to work on own initiative witha high levelof personal motivation.
  • Strong communicationskills, with an ability tosummarise andclearly communicate complex material in a succinct manner to senior management and the wider business
  • A good understanding ofpolicy and regulatory matterspertaining tothe Irish electricity market

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience managing capacity contracts in the Irish electricity sector
  • A deep understanding of the Irish electricity market
  • Strong analytical skills

Full-Time, Permanent.
