Installer - Seasonal Lighting
MK Illumination Ireland Ltd. provides and installs Christmas Lights for towns, businesses and shopping centres across Ireland. We are recruiting a number of people for roles which will begin in mid-October approximately and run for, in the region of, 6 weeks. This may be extended. On average, the successful candidates will work 40-60 hours per week. Each team will be guided by an experienced installer.
The job is the installation of Christmas displays and lighting in shopping centres and public spaces. The work takes place at night time and at weekends and includes working at heights.
Payment is weekly and is in Euros. The role requires keeping accurate timesheets and submitting them in a timely manner.
Location
The role will be based in and around Dublin as this is where the vast majority of our customers are located. The role may require some travel to other locations around the country.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the installation of lighting systems and decorative displays in commercial and industrial environments, including seasonal and festive lighting installations.
- Support the safe installation of Christmas lighting, decorations, and display structures at customer premises in accordance with company standards.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for team members, clients, and the public.
- Load, unload, and transport equipment, lighting products, and installation materials to and from job sites.
- Work effectively as part of an installation crew to complete projects efficiently and to a high professional standard.
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring all lighting displays are functioning correctly before project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area during and after installations, including proper packing and storage of equipment.
- Support the removal, maintenance, and storage of seasonal lighting and decorations at the end of installation periods.
- Interact professionally with clients and represent the company positively while on customer sites.
REQUIREMENTS
- Up to date Manual handling certificate
- Up to date MEWP certificate, both 3A and 3B, ideally
- Experience in electrical work, scaffolding, rigging etc would be an advantage
- Ideally have familiarity with tools used in lighting installation, and have an understanding of lighting technologies, including LED and traditional fixtures
