Job Description Junior Buyer Location: Naas, Co. Kildare Contract: Permanent Salary: 30,000 per annum (approx.) Overview An exciting opportunity for a Junior Buyer to support procurement activities across ingredients and packaging. This role focuses on ensuring materials are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with business and regulatory requirements, while supporting new product development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Source ingredients and packaging materials from approved suppliers Support sourcing of new raw materials for product development projects within set timelines Maintain raw material trackers and workflows, ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and EU legislation Collaborate with cross-functional teams including NPD and Supply Chain to support project success Identify and mitigate supply risks to ensure continuity of supply Assist in cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Monitor supplier performance and lead times, implementing improvements where necessary Review forecasts and contracts, securing additional materials as required Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and KPIs Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar procurement/buying role (food industry preferred) Experience in FMCG environment is advantageous Degree in Business or related discipline desirable Proven experience in sourcing and supplier management Strong negotiation, planning, and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail with strong organisational ability Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change Customer-focused with a proactive and responsive approach Additional Information Some travel may be required Must have eligibility to work in Ireland Responsibilities may evolve in line with business needs
