Thursday, 19th June - 8:30am to 7:00pm
Friday, 20th June - 8:30am to 1:00pm

We are currently recruiting Activities Co-Ordinators and invite interested candidates to attend our upcoming Open Days at Havenwood Nursing Home, Ballygunner, Waterford.

Please note: Candidates must be available to attend an interview in person on either 19th or 20th June.

What You'll Do
• Organise and facilitate a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities for residents.
• Develop person-centred activity programmes that promote independence, wellbeing, and enjoyment.
• Create opportunities for social interaction, participation, and community involvement.
• Set up and prepare activity spaces in a safe and welcoming manner.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and the local community.
• Maintain accurate records of resident engagement and participation.
• Promote and uphold a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centred care.
• Support special events, celebrations, outings, and seasonal activities throughout the year.

What We're Looking For
FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare, Social Care, Community Care, or a related field.
• Additional qualifications in Care of the Older Person, Dementia Care, or Palliative Care are desirable, or a willingness to undertake further training.
• Current certifications in CPR, Infection Prevention & Control, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (training can be provided where necessary).
• Previous experience working with older people in a residential care setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate and engage others.
• Skills or interests in gardening, music, arts and crafts, knitting, baking, exercise, or other recreational activities would be an advantage.
• A full Irish driver's licence is required.
