Salary: Grade 4: €43,477 per annum

Hours: 37.5 standard hours (including breaks) (Flexibility Required)

Contract Status: Permanent

Location: Bray Co Wicklow, covering Wicklow and part of South Dublin

About the Service:

The Intensive Home Support Service (IHSS) provides intensive wraparound services to young people and their parents assessed as being in need, and offers a community based alternative to care.

The IHSS project provides individually tailored support to young people and their families with complex needs and whose behaviour places them at high risk. These young people can be categorised as Hardiker level 3 & 4. Programme content is based on meeting specific individual and family needs through the development of pro-social behaviours, resilience and positive community interactions by engaging them positively in their local community. The programme/s are creative and dynamic, utilising local, regional and national resources to facilitate intervention strategies. Planned and responsive respite provision is integral to the programme/s delivery.

About the Job Role:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a trauma-informed, non-judgemental and compassionate approach to practice, with the ability to effectively engage individuals who may be reluctant or mistrustful of services. They will show creativity and flexibility in their approach to engagement and problem-solving, adapting interventions to meet the complex and changing needs of service users.
