This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Business Analyst & SME based in Ireland.

This role is a key bridge between business and technology within a large-scale SAP transformation environment, focused on general ledger integration and financial systems modernization. You will act as a subject matter expert, translating complex business requirements into robust SAP S/4HANA functional solutions across the full implementation lifecycle. The position offers strong exposure to end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering through testing and post-go-live support. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional business and IT stakeholders in an international, English-speaking environment. The work is highly impactful, directly contributing to the success of critical financial system integration initiatives. This is a hands-on and autonomous role suited to a professional who thrives in structured yet evolving transformation programs.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine detailed functional and business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into SAP S/4HANA functional solutions aligned with system architecture and project objectives.
  • Support the full implementation lifecycle of general ledger and financial system integration projects.
  • Manage change requests, ensuring proper impact analysis and alignment with delivery priorities.
  • Contribute to testing activities, including test planning, preparation, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Provide hypercare and post-go-live support to ensure system stability and smooth operational transition.
  • Ensure consistent communication between technical teams and business units throughout project phases.
  • Support documentation, functional specifications, and process alignment across stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in SAP-focused environments.
  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, particularly in financial modules and general ledger processes.
  • Proven experience supporting full-cycle SAP implementation or transformation projects.
  • Solid understanding of financial systems, accounting processes, and system integrations.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English (C1 level mandatory).
  • Autonomous, proactive, and structured working approach in international environments.
  • Experience in testing coordination and support within large-scale IT programs.
  • Graduate-level education in a relevant field (Finance, IT, Business, or similar).
