UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2, School of Agriculture and Food Science, 12 months

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2 within School of Agriculture and Food Science.

The objective of this project is to quantify the Non-wood productive functions of forests or NWPFF in Ireland, which includes, among others, edible plants, animal products, and recreation services. The successful candidate will review the approaches used in other countries that quantify and report their NWPFF, and will develop a repeatable and reliable methodology tailored to Ireland to quantify and assess the economic value of NWPFF. Finally, this methodology will be implemented and validated with the collaboration of stakeholders, assessing the value of marketed NWPFF and their contribution to the Irish Bioeconomy.

Post Doc Level 1 Salary: €47,273 - €53,925 per annum or Post Doc Level 2 Salary: €47,273 - €53,925 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

As with the PD1, if you have already completed your PD2 stage in UCD or will soon complete a PD2, or your total Postdoctoral experience, inclusive of the duration of the advertised post, would exceed 6 years, you should not apply and should refer to Research Fellow posts instead.
