Byrne Wallace Shields LLP is one of Ireland's largest full service law firms. We are a forward thinking law firm and are currently recruiting for an Assistant Librarian to join our firm in the Dublin office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assists fee earners with legal research and queries
- Supports with delivery of training programmes
- Creation and development of library guides and support material
- General library administration duties, including cataloguing of journals and books and reviewing hard copy and electronic material where appropriate
- Supports development and review of library processes and procedures, including contributions to library pages of firm's intranet
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of library systems
- Reviews, profiles and assists in the uploading of material to library systems
- Information Security - Support implementation of the Firms Information Security Management and comply with the Firms Information Security Statement
- Adhere to data classifications and handling rules
- Report Breach of Policy, Incident or Security Weakness
- Comply with the ISMS-04 User's Information Security Policy Statements
- Additional - Staff may be requested to carry out such reasonable tasks as may from time to time occur
Skills, experience and attributes:
- Post-graduate library qualification essential
- An information professional with a minimum of 2+ years' experience
- Previous experience of legal library
- The ability to undertake legal research unsupervised
- Demonstrated interest in learning and development and library training, with strong design and delivery skills
- Strong demonstrated interest and literacy in I.T.
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Ability to persuade and influence senior individuals
- Ability to work to deadlines, manage multiple projects and deliver under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced, corporate environment
- Ability to work on own initiative
