About the team and the role:

The People Experience team is responsible for shaping the candidate and employee experience across eBay. The team supports key people functions including talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee services, people technology, and culture initiatives that enable business performance and employee success.

The People Experience Employee Relations Partner serves as a subject matter expert in employee relations, providing guidance on complex and sensitive workplace matters across multiple European jurisdictions. This role partners closely with managers, employees, People Business Partners, Legal, Centres of Excellence, Works Councils, and external vendors to manage risk, ensure compliance, and support positive employee outcomes. The role also contributes to the development of policies, processes, training programs, and operational improvements that strengthen the effectiveness of the People Experience organisation.

What you will accomplish:
  • Provide expert guidance to managers and People Experience team members on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, employment legislation, and workplace practices across supported jurisdictions.
  • Lead complex employee relations cases, including investigations involving grievances, ethics concerns, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other sensitive workplace issues.
  • Coach and support Consultants and Advisers, helping to build capability and ensure consistent, high-quality employee relations support across the organisation.
  • Partner with People Business Partners, Legal, Centres of Excellence, Works Councils, and external collaborators to resolve complex cases, manage risk, and support business objectives.
  • Deliver training and onboarding programs that strengthen manager effectiveness and enhance employee relations knowledge across the business and People Experience teams.
  • Lead or contribute to policy development, implementation, and process improvement initiatives that increase operational effectiveness and consistency.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and regulatory bodies, ensuring appropriate handling of employee-related matters and compliance requirements.


What you will bring:
  • 7+ years of Human Resources experience within a global organisation, including 5+ years of Employee Relations experience.
  • Solid expertise in employment legislation and employee relations practices, with preferred experience supporting Ireland, the UK, and other European jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex workplace investigations and managing sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to analyse complex information, assess risk, and provide practical recommendations that balance employee, business, legal, and operational considerations.
  • Experience coaching managers and developing capability through guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with experience working across global, multicultural, and remote teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, qualification in Irish Employment Law, and advanced certification in Human Resource Management.
