About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance & Painting Person to support the upkeep and presentation of our Supermac's, The Plaza Group, and So Hotels properties across the Munster region. This is a hands-on role combining painting and decorating with general maintenance and repair work. The successful candidate will ensure all facilities are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, customers, and staff.
All necessary tools, equipment, and a company van will be provided.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance & Painting Person to support the upkeep and presentation of our Supermac's, The Plaza Group, and So Hotels properties across the Munster region. This is a hands-on role combining painting and decorating with general maintenance and repair work. The successful candidate will ensure all facilities are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, customers, and staff.
All necessary tools, equipment, and a company van will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out interior and exterior painting and decorating across multiple sites.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, patching, and general surface repairs.
- Mix and apply paints to achieve the required colour, finish, and quality standards.
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across properties, including minor carpentry, plumbing, and building repairs.
- Carry out routine inspections and identify maintenance issues, taking corrective action where required.
- Repair and maintain fixtures, fittings, doors, walls, ceilings, and other property features.
- Respond to maintenance requests from management in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with site management to schedule and complete work efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company health and safety standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good condition.
- Travel to various company locations throughout the Munster region as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property maintenance, building repairs, or a similar maintenance role.
- Strong experience in interior and exterior painting and decorating.
- Practical knowledge of general maintenance and repair work.
- Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Applicants must be over 25 years of age due to insurance requirements for the company van.
- Full valid driver's licence.
- Comfortable travelling between sites in Cork.
- Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work if required.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with staff and management.
