This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Audit Technology and Data Analytics Expert, Director Analyst based in Ireland.

This is a senior thought leadership role focused on shaping how global organizations design and execute data-driven audit and risk strategies. You will produce high-impact research, insights, and frameworks that guide senior audit and risk leaders in leveraging advanced analytics and emerging technologies. The role combines deep analytical expertise with strong communication and advisory skills, enabling you to influence executive decision-making across large enterprises, government bodies, and global institutions. You will engage directly with clients through briefings, presentations, and advisory conversations, translating complex data and technology trends into actionable strategies. Working within a highly collaborative research environment, you will help define best practices and future directions for audit analytics and digital risk capabilities. This is a highly visible role for an expert who thrives on intellectual rigor, thought leadership, and global influence.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop high-impact research and thought leadership on audit data analytics, creating actionable insights, frameworks, and best practices for senior risk and audit leaders.
  • Analyze market trends, emerging technologies, and industry shifts to produce forward-looking guidance for global organizations.
  • Conduct deep analytical work to identify root causes of client challenges and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Deliver presentations, briefings, and advisory sessions to senior stakeholders in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Contribute to content development, peer review, and refinement of research outputs within a global analyst community.
  • Support sales and client engagement efforts by providing subject matter expertise and market insights that strengthen client relationships.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to improving research methodologies, processes, and delivery standards.
  • Represent the organization's research perspective at conferences, industry events, and executive forums.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including strong exposure to internal audit, data analytics, or risk functions.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in data analytics within internal audit, and 7+ years in audit or related risk/data roles.
  • Proven thought leadership in audit analytics strategy, including development of frameworks, governance models, and advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of risk domains such as cybersecurity, cloud security, governance, resilience, third-party risk, and data protection.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data, identify patterns, and deliver structured insights.
  • Strong research and writing capabilities, with experience producing executive-level content and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and large audiences.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with an understanding of global market dynamics in audit and risk.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in global, multicultural, matrixed environments.
  • Experience speaking at conferences or industry events is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
