Brief Job Description:
BIM Co-Ordinator (Lead):
- lead and oversee Building Information Modelling (BIM) activities for our organization. As a Lead BIM Co-Ordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation and coordination of BIM processes across various projects. Your expertise in BIM technologies, attention to detail and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams will be essential for the effective execution of this role.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:
- Lead the BIM coordination efforts for multiple projects, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accurate representation of project data within the BIM environment.
- Coordinate services within multidisciplinary BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential conflicts in design and construction.
- Develop and implement BIM execution plans, standards, and protocols to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of BIM models, including data integration, clash detection, and coordination of design and construction information.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure BIM deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
- Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential design issues.
- Work closely with technology teams to evaluate, implement, and optimise BIM software, tools, and workflows.
- Provide training and support to project teams and stakeholders on BIM-related processes and technologies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in BIM and related technologies.
- Liaise with clients and external partners to address BIM-related inquiries and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Creation of engineering family library utilising embedded parameters to aid efficient design, costing & scheduling.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Project management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with construction and design processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Previous knowledge of busbar systems will be an advantage but not a requirement as specific training on our products and BIM Libraries will be delivered as part of the role.
