We are now recruiting Dry Cleaning Operatives to join our team on a full-time fixed-term one-year contract. You will be part of our wider Rooms Division Department, which also includes Housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

As a Dry Cleaning Operative, you will:

• Operate and monitor washing and dry-cleaning machines to clean a range of industrial and household articles, including garments, suede, leather, furs, blankets, draperies, linens, rugs, and carpets.
• Carry out spotting and dyeing treatments as required.
• Receive and mark articles for laundry or dry cleaning using identifying codes, names, or numbers with hand and machine markers.
• Examine and sort articles into appropriate loads based on colour, fabric type, degree of soil, and cleaning techniques required.
• Inspect soiled items to identify stain sources, colour imperfections, and items requiring specialised treatment.
• Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other cleaning solutions or chemicals as required.
• Press, iron, and assemble garments in line with company standards.
• Clean machine filters, complete basic equipment maintenance, and lubricate machinery where necessary.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring consistency and high-quality standards at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Dry Cleaning is desirable, though not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy and collaborative team.
