At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to be based In Cork

Shift Pattern Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 09:00 - 14:15

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Contributing to a team culture focused on exceptional service, every time, for everyone.
  • Providing excellent customer service by being attentive, responsive, and friendly.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, guests, and team members
  • Upholding consistent standards in presentation and products, regularly assessing progress based on client feedback to enhance experiences.
  • Contributing to creating a positive work environment
  • Adhering to all Health and Safety guidelines, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Adhering to Company rules, and professional standards and procedures (COSHH, EHO, Food Hygiene standards)
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly
  • Assisting in the timely preparation of menu items under the guidance of the Chef or Catering manager.
  • Assisting with the setup of catering equipment, tables, chairs, and decorations according to event specifications.
  • Collaborating with the catering team to create visually appealing and organized displays.
  • Providing friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for our clients.
  • Assisting in plating and presenting dishes to maintain high-quality standards, ensuring correct meal portions to minimise waste.
  • Reporting any defects in equipment or premises to the line manager.
  • Supporting catering staff during events by ensuring a smooth flow of service.
  • Addressing customer requests and inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Performing any other ad hoc duties as deemed necessary


Qualifications and experience
  • Previous experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to multitask. and works well under pressure.
  • Be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a team player.
  • Garda vetting required
