Position Summary

We are seeking a high-impact strategic operations senior manager to partner closely with theSite Lead for CVS Ireland's R&D organisation

This is a hybrid rolecombining strategic operations, R&D enablement, executive-level coordination, communications, and culture leadershipThe role exists to ensure the site operates with clarity, pace, and cohesion-freeing the Site Lead to focus on strategy, growth, and external engagement while ensuring nothing important drops.

You will act as a force multiplier for the site: translating strategy into action, bringing structure to ambiguity, and ensuring strong alignment across engineering, product and other enterprise stakeholders.

What will you do?

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Site Lead to enable execution of R&D site strategy and operating plans, translating strategy into coordinated action.


  • Translate R&D objectives into clear priorities, tracking progress and surfacing risks early.


  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross departmental R&D workstreams to ensure alignment, clarity of ownership, and disciplined execution.


  • Enable effective R&D operational governance, supporting planning cycles, portfolio reviews, delivery health forums, and leadership rhythms without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.


  • Prepare and quality-assure materials for executive forums, business reviews, weekly site syncs, and enterprise leadership discussions.


  • Act as an operational point of coordination with Government agencies, research institutions and Universities for R&D matters, supporting site reviews, governance, and investment narratives.


  • Coordinate governance and reporting for R&D commitments, including headcount, capability development, and innovation outcomes, in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and R&D leaders.


  • Ensure operational readiness for audits, reviews, and RD&I information requests, maintaining evidence-based documentation and clear accountability.


  • Support culture, engagement, and site communications, reinforcing a high-performing, inclusive R&D culture as the organisation scales.


  • Provide operational support and financial coordination for site charity and community initiatives, ensuring appropriate governance, budgeting discipline, and sustainable local partnerships.


We are looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years in roles spanning strategic operations, program management, R&D operations, consulting, or business/operations management


  • Experience supporting R&D organisations (healthcare, medtech, or regulated environments a plus)


  • Proven success working closely with senior leadersin ambiguous, fast-moving environments


  • Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority


  • Strong systems thinker-able to see the big picture while managing detail where it matters


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with excellent experience creating visual presentations and reports.


  • Highly organised with a track record of bringing order to complexity


  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution


  • Able to move effortlessly between executive conversations, operational detail and people and culture topics

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:
€65,000.00 - €165,000.00
