UCC seeks to appoint a registered paramedic professional to the position of Principal Paramedic Tutor. This is a key academic-clinical appointment supporting the delivery of the BSc (Hons) Paramedicine programme at University College Cork.
The post-holder will play a central role in shaping the practice education experience for students across the programme - coordinating placements across the South/South West Hospital Group (SSWHG) and wider clinical network, supporting practice educators, and providing direct academic and tutorial support to students throughout their clinical placements. The role is campus-based at UCC, with regular travel to practice placement sites required.
Applications are invited from candidates who hold current registration with the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) as a Paramedic, with post-qualification clinical experience and a demonstrated commitment to education and the development of others. Teaching experience in a higher education or accredited training setting is essential.

Appointment may be made on the HSE Paramedicine Tutor, Principal Salary Scale: €74,563 - €86,604
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
