We're looking for a driven Business Development Representative to help generate new business opportunities, engage target prospects, and build qualified pipeline. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth company, work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Solutions teams, and grow your career as the business expands.

In this role, you'll educate prospective customers on our platform and services, handle initial conversations, and book quality meetings for Account Executives to progress through discovery and the wider sales process.

Your focus will be on identifying enterprise global organisations where there is a strong fit for our payroll technology, validating genuine project opportunities, and ensuring a clear, high-quality handoff into the next stage of the sales cycle.

What you'll be doing
  • Research target accounts to identify key decision-makers and understand pain points related to global payroll operations
  • Run personalised outbound campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels, tailoring messaging to prospect needs and market triggers
  • Create, manage, and qualify leads in HubSpot, with a focus on generating discovery meetings that align with our qualification approach
  • Prepare strong handoff notes and account insights so Account Executives can run effective discovery and sales conversations
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to align outbound activity with campaigns, webinars, events, and warm signals
  • Support event outreach and follow-up before and after industry and company events to convert interest into qualified opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, track pipeline progress, and support reporting to improve coaching and forecasting.

What we're looking for
  • 6-18 months' experience in business development, sales, or another high volume outreach role
  • A strong interest in sales and a desire to build a career in software or technology
  • Experience with tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn, and Sales Navigator is desirable
  • Strong research, prospecting, and account planning skills, with the ability to identify ideal customer profiles and relevant stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with confidence engaging prospects at scale while maintaining quality and relevance
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, and Solutions teams
  • Experience in cold outreach across new and existing accounts
  • A track record of working towards sales targets and performance metrics
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is beneficial, but not required.
