Applications are invited for the role of Research Support Officer (Administration) within the People and Culture Office.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UCC HR Research Team in the People and Culture Office. The Research Support Officer (Administration) will have a strong role in coordinating the employee life cycle administration (recruitment, compensation, payroll and benefits etc.) for Research Units/Colleges to agreed deadlines ensuring utilisation of the Human Resources Information System and provide accurate and timely information.
They will liaise closely with research centres and units in relation to contract management and recruitment to ensure effective scheduling, support and communication. The post will involve working closely with the Finance Office, Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation and other University offices as required, to ensure efficient and effective management of the contractual and labour requirements (including hosting agreements and work permits) for research funded staff.
The Research Support Officer Administration will work closely with the HR Research Team, Office of People and Culture, Researchers, PI's and relevant Research Centres and Central Units across UCC. The Research Support Officer (Administration) will have experience in the high-volume recruitment and/or human resources management and will have a working knowledge of EU Commission funded programmes and the research funding agencies in Ireland.
They will participate as a member of the HR Research Team in the delivery of projects and specialist support. The Research Support Officer (Administration) will work closely with the Co-ordinator in the HR Research Team, the HR Research Advisor and the HR Business Partner Research to ensure that the service provided is at all times of the highest standard and to engage in the continuous improvement of processes to ensure the ongoing development of standards

Salary: €45,000 p.a. (personal rate).
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
