About You:

  • Degree qualified, and have 10+ years of experience in either a compliance function, preferably in loan servicing, or within loan servicing but with focus on compliance tasks. Work experience from a global firm is an advantage but not a pre-requisite;
  • Experienced in working with regulatory bodies;
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities;
  • Strong planning and project management skills are an advantage;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with sound judgement.
  • Able to work in a team environment as well as on own initiatives.
  • Take on and complete tasks with minimal oversight.

Your Role:

This is a senior leadership role requiring a highly experienced and strategic professional capable of overseeing complex loan operations across multiple client portfolios. The SVP will provide executive-level oversight, drive operational excellence, and serve as the primary escalation point for both clients and internal stakeholders. This role demands a deep understanding of syndicated and bilateral loan structures, strong risk management capabilities, and the ability to lead and influence across a global organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the management of multiple strategic client portfolios, encompassing syndicated and/or bilateral loan portfolios and all associated operational activities and lifecycle events
  • Provide full oversight of all loan operations activity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to global standards across all processing and administrative functions
  • Serve as the primary escalation contact for clients and internal teams, resolving complex operational issues with professionalism and urgency, and maintaining strong, trusted client relationships
  • Lead the onboarding of new clients into the loan operations platform, coordinating across departments to ensure a seamless, well-governed, and operationally sound transition
  • Oversee and manage a team of VPs and AVPs, providing leadership, mentorship, performance management, and professional development
  • Liaise closely with the Risk team to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, ensuring a robust control environment is maintained at all times across all loan operations activity
  • Ensure the regional team adheres to and embeds global best practices, working in close partnership with the Best Practice team to implement, monitor, and continuously improve operational standards
  • Act as a key liaison with senior management across other departments, including Treasury, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Technology, to agree priorities, resolve cross-functional issues, and ensure alignment with global operational standards
  • Oversee the interaction and integrity between loan and accounting systems, ensuring seamless data flow, accurate reconciliation, and prompt resolution of any discrepancies or breaks
  • Ensure daily loan operations workflows are effective, scalable, and continuously improved, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance service delivery and processing capacity
  • Participate in client pitches and business development activities, providing subject matter expertise and delivering compelling demonstrations of loan operations capabilities and service offerings to prospective and existing clients
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, challenging existing processes and implementing enhancements to support evolving client needs, regulatory requirements, and business growth
  • Lead and support the training and development of new hires and junior team members, including those without prior loan operations experience, embedding a strong knowledge-sharing and talent development culture across the team
  • Read and interpret complex credit agreements, providing guidance to the team on documentation and processing requirements and ensuring operational activities are executed in line with agreed terms

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in loan operations or a related financial services function, with a proven track record at senior management level
  • Strong knowledge of syndicated and bilateral loan structures, lifecycle events, and associated operational processes
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, escalation handling, and client relationship management at a senior level
  • Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment
  • Experience working within a global organisation, with a strong understanding of how to implement and maintain global standards at a regional level
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach and a commitment to operational excellence
  • Experience participating in client pitches and business development activities is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in loan and accounting systems, with the ability to oversee system interactions, data integrity, and operational controls
