The Carriage House
The Carriage House is a haven of welcome and warmth, where delicious food, great company, and a legendary collection of the world's finest spirits create an exceptional atmosphere.
Open to both residents and non-residents, The Carriage House welcomes guests for lunch and dinner seven days a week, and for breakfast from Friday to Sunday. Located just a three-minute walk from the Manor House, this beautifully restored venue offers stunning views across the estate and a dining experience defined by effortless luxury and relaxed elegance.
By day, it provides the perfect setting for guests to unwind between estate activities and enjoy refined, light dining. By evening, it transforms into a vibrant and welcoming destination where guests savour exceptional cuisine and enjoy drinks on the terrace as dusk settles over the estate.
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and talented Bar Supervisor to join our Michelin Plate-awarded Carriage House team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong knowledge of beverages who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management team in the day-to-day operation of The Carriage House
- Ensure the seamless running of the bar and overall service, maintaining the highest standards at all times
- Lead and motivate a team of bartenders and floor staff
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences with prompt, professional, and engaging service
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and manage margins, revenue, and labour targets
- Plan, organise, and prioritise to ensure smooth and efficient service
Requirements
- Up to 2 years' experience in a Food & Beverage or bar supervisory/management role in a high-quality environment
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktails, with an understanding of current industry trends
- Experience working in a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment preferred
- A motivated, creative, and proactive approach to service
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English
