The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and European Financial Controller, gaining hands-on experience in the day-to-day running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of Month End, Quarter End, and Year End close processes for various European legal entities
  • Prepare and post general ledger entries throughout the month and at period end
  • Manage and submit government returns as required
  • Support interim and year-end audit processes, including:
    • Preparing the year-end audit file
    • Acting as a key point of contact for the audit team
    • Preparing year-end statutory reports
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy of all entries
  • Manage accruals and prepayments
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day finance operations, including:
    • Employee expenses
    • Cash management
    • Monthly payroll
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in finance processes and controls
  • Provide functional advice, support, and training to team members as needed
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and project work
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
  • Proven computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail; "audit ready" mindset at all times
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • SAP experience
  • Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret and explain financial performance
