Job Description TTM Healthcare are proud to partner with our client in the public sector to recruit for a temporary Grade III Clerical Officer in Galway. Location: Ballinasloe Position: Grade III Clerical Officer Hours: Full time, Mon-Fri, 8.30-16.00 (35 hours per week) Pay: 17.49 to 27.06 per hour depending on previous relevant public sector experience Contract: 3 month initial temporary contract Job Purpose To provide administrative support within the service ensuring the efficient management of referrals, appointments, patient records, and correspondence. The role supports clinicians and consultants in the delivery of community-based clinics. Key Responsibilities Process and manage patient referrals received through Healthlink and other referral pathways. Schedule and coordinate appointments for community-based cardiology clinics. Maintain and update patient records on IPMS and other relevant systems. Liaise with consultants, clinicians, GPs, patients, and other healthcare professionals. Prepare, process, and distribute correspondence and clinic letters using T-Pro. Ensure patient files and records are accurate, up to date, and maintained in line with GDPR requirements. Manage clinic diaries, waiting lists, and appointment changes. Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner. Provide administrative support to the Cardiology Team and assist with general office duties as required. Essential Criteria Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting, such as a GP Practice, HSE service, private hospital, or healthcare clinic. Experience processing referrals and managing patient appointments. Experience using healthcare systems such as Healthlink, IPMS, or similar patient management systems. Experience using T-Pro or similar clinical correspondence systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
