Job Description

LGT Fund Managers (Ireland) Limited provides fund administration services primarily to private equity funds and currently employs over 60 people locally. The Irish team is part of a wider Administration Group of approximately 110 staff across Ireland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.

We are seeking to hire a permanent Accounting Operations Lead to oversee and coordinate accounting activities across all three locations. While the role will be based within the FM Ireland Accounting team, it will have responsibility for ensuring alignment of processes, controls and deliverables across the broader group, working closely with senior functions and local teams in Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.

The role will be central to maintaining a consistent operating model across jurisdictions, supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting outputs, and strengthening collaboration between local teams. Periodic on-site presence in the other locations will be required, with an estimated travel commitment of one week per quarter.

Key to this role will be the ability to manage and prioritise multiple workflows within tight deadlines, hands on approach to management, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of organisational discipline and attention to detail. Full training in company-specific systems and processes will be provided.

The Global Head of Fund Accounting will have a dual focus:

(i) The role will also be accountable for day-to-day running of the Dublin fund accounting function, coaching and supporting the team to deliver market leading quality to our client, LGT Capital Partners.

(2) Leading the Group-wide accounting strategy, ensuring alignment of processes, controls, and reporting across multiple locations. The role chairs the Private Markets Accounting Forum, provides structured oversight into senior management and acts as the senior escalation point for internal leadership, investors, and clients.

This leader will also oversee NAV production governance, valuations, capital activity, internal controls, and cross-border delivery teams. A core focus of the role is driving automation, standardization, and continuous improvement to support scale and strengthen LGT's control environment.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting Management (Dublin team)
  • Oversee Dublin day-to-day accounting function
  • Enhance structure and coach team to ensure deliverables are completed to agreed KPIs


Operational Management
  • Oversee and manage the valuations, capital calls, distributions, and cashflow processes locally
  • Co-ordinate the valuations, capital calls, distributions, and cashflow processes in collaboration with functional leads in other locations.
  • Lead governance, methodology alignment, and quality assurance for all NAV production activities across jurisdictions.
  • Maintain responsibility for KPI monitoring, error management and remediation, and delivery quality standards.


Control Environment & Risk Management
  • Enforce robust internal controls, including oversight of consolidation structures, accounting policies, and key process checkpoints.
  • Strengthen risk management practices, ensuring timely identification and remediation of gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting frameworks applicable across Group entities.


Strategic Leadership & Governance
  • Set the Group-wide Fund Accounting strategy and agenda, leading the Private Markets Accounting Forum and ensuring effective escalation into senior management.
  • Provide strategic oversight of accounting processes across Dublin, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein, promoting cross-location alignment and consistency.
  • Act as senior point of contact for clients, investors, auditors, depositaries, and LGT leadership on all accounting-related matters.


Process Improvement & Change Leadership
  • Drive automation and standardization initiatives that enhance scalability and reduce manual processing.
  • Champion continuous improvement across workflows, operating models, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Lead and contribute to Group-level change programs affecting the Private Markets accounting organization.


People Leadership
  • Lead, develop, and mentor senior Fund Accounting managers across all locations.
  • Build a cohesive cross-border leadership culture that promotes ownership, transparency, and high performance.
  • Support succession planning, capability development, and broader organizational strengthening.


Requirements

  • Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in financial services, with a proven track record of leading change across multi-jurisdictional administration units.
  • Extensive experience in senior fund accounting, investment accounting, or audit roles within private markets.
  • Strong technical expertise in valuations, NAV production methodologies, cashflow management, and alternative fund structures.
  • Deep understanding of internal controls, consolidation structures, risk frameworks, and regulatory reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver automation, process optimization, and standardization across complex organizations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including experience dealing with senior executives, clients, and investors.
  • Ability to lead, influence, and develop senior teams across multiple locations.
