Engineering Systems Lead

Job Description Arcadis DPS are seeking an Engineering Systems Lead for an initial 12-month FTC assignment in East Cork. Role is on-site, 39 hour per week & reports to the Head of Engineering. Engineering Systems Team Recruit, develop, and support the resources required to effectively manage day-to-day Engineering Systems activities, including CAD administration, document control, work order management, and system integration projects. Drive alignment of engineering systems, ensuring seamless integration of processes, workflows, and system architecture. Development and enhancement of CMMS capabilities to incorporate automation activities and support expanding operational requirements. Increased responsibility for SAP purchase order management - Secondary delegate for the review and release of PO's in absence of the Engineering and Maintenance Manager. Continuous optimisation of planned versus unplanned maintenance performance - Develop roadmap and action plan to ensure year on year increase in planned maintenance activities, preventative and predictive maintenance and corresponding reduction in reactive, unplanned maintenance to ensure greater plant reliability and reduced plant downtime. Oversee and manage the complete engineering documentation handover, ensuring document integrity, version control, compliance, and seamless system transition. Engineering Systems Strategy Oversee core engineering systems including PEMAC CMMS and Meridian EDMS. Define and execute the roadmap for engineering systems aligned to reliability and compliance. Standardise processes across sites, ensuring consistency in system usage, data structures, and governance. Act as the primary escalation point for engineering systems performance, availability, and data integrity issues. CMMS (PEMAC) Work Management Optimisation Work order governance, including prioritisation, backlog management, and level-loading to optimise maintenance execution. Drive proactive management of overdue and high-risk work orders. Oversee service request workflows. Asset Strategy & Reliability Own asset hierarchy, criticality assessments, and maintenance strategies within CMMS. Continuously optimise preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability. Lead large-scale data imports and data management. Data, Reporting & Insights Develop and maintain advanced analytics dashboards (e.g., Power BI) covering KPIs such as PM compliance, planned/unplanned, shutdown performance, and asset reliability. Translate system data into actionable insights to support engineering and operational decision-making. Engineering Document & Data Management Multi-Site EDMS management Lead administration of Meridian across both Dublin and Cork sites. Ensure a single source of truth for all engineering documentation, drawings, and asset-related data. Standardise document structures, metadata, and workflows across locations. Document Control & Compliance Establish and enforce document control standards to ensure full traceability, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance. Oversee document lifecycle management including revision control, approvals, and archival. Support internal and external audits through accurate and accessible documentation. System Optimisation & Integration Simplify and optimise folder structures and workflows to improve user accessibility and efficiency. Develop and manage integration points between Meridian, CMMS, and other engineering systems. Manage system performance, storage growth, and access security. Engineering Systems Development (Meridian Expansion On-Site) Currently leading the evaluation and rollout planning to expand Meridian capabilities on site to enhance engineering document accessibility and control. Coordinating and chairing cross-functional stakeholder meetings (engineering, maintenance, IT, and external vendors) to define system requirements and implementation approach. Driving alignment on document management standards, workflows, and integration with existing systems such as PEMAC. Assessing current-state gaps and identifying opportunities to improve document visibility, version control, and user access on site. Supporting the development of a structured roadmap for successful system deployment and adoption. Compliance, SOP & Quality Systems (Entropy) Ensure all engineering procedures remain current, compliant, and aligned with operational practices. Oversee non-conformance tracking. Maintain audit readiness through structured documentation and compliance tracking. Vendor & Contractor Management Oversee external vendors supporting engineering systems and maintenance activities. Ensure effective scheduling, documentation control, cost management, and service delivery. Act as system SME in vendor engagements and system-related projects. Training, Change Management & User Support Act as the engineering systems subject matter expert across all platforms. Develop and deliver structured training programs for CMMS and EDMS systems. Monitor change management initiatives to drive system adoption and process standardisation. Provide support and guidance to engineering, maintenance, and operational teams. Continuous Improvement & Governance Identify and implement system and process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience. Establish KPIs and governance frameworks to measure system effectiveness and data quality. Lead cross-functional initiatives to align engineering systems with business objectives. Why Join Arcadis?
