The Global Test Engineering (GTE) team develops advanced manufacturing test automation solutions for Dell's portfolio of AI Server and Storage products.
Over the next 2-3 years, we are modernizing AI racklevel testing into an AIdriven, scalable, and secure platform, accelerating timetomarket for industryleading AI infrastructure used by the world's most innovative companies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Software Senior Engineer to contribute to highimpact systems, gain deep product exposure, and grow technical leadership skills within a fastevolving engineering organization.

What You'll Achieve

As a Software Senior Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver highquality software solutions aligned with Dell's manufacturing, product, and business requirements.

You will:

  • Contribute across the Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable software for manufacturing test and automation environments
  • Collaborate closely with product, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to understand system behaviour and requirements
  • Work within an Agile development team, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues across software and system boundaries
  • Apply emerging technologies, including AIassisted and agentic workflows, to improve test efficiency and development velocity
  • Share knowledge and best practices, providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers

Essential Requirements

  • Solid experience in software development and engineering fundamentals
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with the ability to design, code, test, and debug complex systems
  • Experience working with operating systems, networking concepts, and systemlevel interactions
  • Exposure to multiple tools, databases, operating systems, and hardware platforms
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and environments
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within crossfunctional teams

Desirable Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with manufacturing systems, test automation, embedded software, firmware, BIOS, or devicelevel integration

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, or AIassisted development tools
