The Global Test Engineering (GTE) team develops advanced manufacturing test automation solutions for Dell's portfolio of AI Server and Storage products.
Over the next 2-3 years, we are transforming AI racklevel testing into an AIdriven, highly scalable, and secure platform, dramatically accelerating timetomarket for industryleading AI infrastructure that powers the world's most pioneering AI companies.

What You'll Achieve
As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing sophisticated software systems aligned with Dell's manufacturing, product, and business requirements.
You will:
- Lead and contribute across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, testing, and delivery
- Work as part of a highly motivated Agile development team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with Dell product and manufacturing teams to gain deep insight into Dell's server and storage platforms
- Design software solutions that are scalable, secure, and resilient, supporting highvolume manufacturing environments
- Learn, apply, and help shape the use of Agentic AI technologies to accelerate critical development, test, and manufacturing workflows
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, setting a high bar for engineering excellence

Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including programming languages, operating systems, and systemlevel concepts
- Experience designing, coding, and debugging complex, scalable systems, with the ability to guide and mentor other engineers
- Exposure to multiple programming languages, operating systems, databases, tools, and hardware platforms
- Understanding of system, network, operating system, and applicationlevel interactions
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, technologies, and platforms through a combination of training and handson experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a crossfunctional environment
Desirable Requirements
- 6-8 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with manufacturing, test automation, embedded systems, firmware, BIOS, or devicelevel software (highly beneficial)

Familiarity with AIassisted development or automation workflows is a plus
