Trade Counter Sales Specialist - New Head Office Dunshaughlin
About the Role
With the opening of U Value's brand new head office in Dunshaughlin coming very soon, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong sales skills, excellent product knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will be the first point of contact for trade and retail customers, providing expert advice, processing orders, and helping drive branch sales growth.
*This role will be based at our new head office in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide professional, friendly service at the trade counter.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions.
- Process sales transactions, quotations, orders, and returns accurately.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade customers.
- Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and industry developments.
- Support stock control activities, including receiving deliveries, stock replenishment, and inventory checks.
- Ensure the trade counter and showroom are clean, organised, and well-presented.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve branch sales targets and service standards.
Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Previous experience in trade counter sales, retail sales, customer service, or a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with customers and identify sales opportunities.
- Good IT skills and experience using sales or ERP systems.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the construction, building materials, plumbing, electrical, hardware, or related industries is advantageous.
