Job Summary

To manage and execute stock transfers between stores and warehouse, ensuring accuracy, product care, and system integrity. The role also supports visual merchandising teams in achieving best-in-class store displays and drives overall stock availability and store performance.

Reports to: Product Manager and Buying Office

Job Description:

  • Coordinate all inter-store and warehouse stock transfers
  • Prepare and process transfer requests in line with company systems and procedures
  • Ensure all items are:

    Correctly picked

    Properly labelled

    Securely packed to prevent damage
  • Verify incoming and outgoing transfers against:

    Transfer manifests

    Stock requests
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve any discrepancies immediately
  • Liaise with:

    Buying team (approvals and stock movements)

    Warehouse team (dispatch and receipt)

    Store teams (readiness and sign-off)
  • Ensure all transfers are:

    Signed off by Store Manager / Assistant Manager

    Accurately recorded in the inventory system
  • Track and follow up on all pending transfers to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain accurate documentation and a clear audit trail for all stock movements

Operational Duties

  • Prepare stock for return to warehouse where required
  • Ensure all goods are handled with care to protect product quality
  • Support loading and coordination of transport
  • Organise back-of-house areas to enable efficient stock movement

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail (critical for stock accuracy)
  • Highly organised with strong planning ability
  • Effective communicator across multiple departments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Must have full clean driving licence

Performance Measures (KPIs)

  • Transfer accuracy (minimal / zero discrepancies)
  • Timeliness of transfer completion
  • Reduction in damaged stock during transfers
