Purpose of the Role
Support the HR Function by proactively sourcing candidates, supporting operational recruitment planning, strengthening employer brand presence, and coordinating internal engagement and communication initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source candidates through multiple recruitment channels including job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and direct outreach
- Prepare recruitment activity in advance of known busy periods, seasonal demands, and operational hiring needs
- Support recruitment campaigns and open days for seasonal hiring periods, including Christmas recruitment and other peak operational periods
- Post and manage job advertisements across recruitment platforms and internal systems
- Screen applications and conduct initial candidate assessments to identify suitability for roles
- Coordinate interviews and maintain regular communication with hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Ensure a positive candidate experience from application through onboarding
- Support onboarding processes and assist with new starter preparation and induction coordination
- Develop creative recruitment initiatives and attraction campaigns to improve candidate engagement and increase applicant quality
- Support and promote the company employer brand across online platforms, recruitment events, and social media channels
- Monitor recruitment activity, vacancies, and hiring progress, providing regular updates and recruitment reports
- Maintain candidate pipelines and support future hiring requirements
- Work closely with operational managers to understand staffing requirements and recruitment priorities
- Support the continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes
- Create and coordinate internal & social communications relating to employee engagement, recruitment campaigns, company initiatives, and people updates
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition activities, wellbeing campaigns, and internal events
- Ensure all recruitment and employee data is handled in accordance with GDPR and company policies
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, trackers, and candidate databases
- Support the wider HR/People function with administrative and operational tasks as required
