Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 (points 1-3) salary scale (€70,942 - €91,774 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.

Reports to: Head of Capital Projects & Planning.

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee the delivery of projects under the Trinity South Renewal Programme (TSR). This contract is offered on a specific purpose basis to support the delivery of the Trinity South Renewal Programme (TSR), which comprises the Law School, the Student Centre, and Arts Building decarbonisation projects.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the role is to provide senior project management oversight of these projects, acting as the University's client-side lead to coordinate stakeholders, manage governance and compliance requirements, and ensure successful delivery across all project phases. The role is not offered on a permanent basis as it is directly linked to a defined programme of capital projects with established scope and timelines, and the need for the position will cease upon completion of the Trinity South Renewal Programme. Accordingly, this contract will terminate on completion of the programme.

About the Trinity South Renewal Programme (TSR)

The Trinity South Renewal Programme (TSR) is a flagship capital investment representing a once-in-a-generation transformation of Trinity College Dublin's Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences campus. The programme comprises a portfolio of strategically critical projects, including:
• The development of a new School of Law within Trinity Central, Pearse Street.
• A major energy retrofit and spatial reconfiguration of the Arts Building.
• The delivery of a new Student Centre at the heart of campus life.

Backed by significant Exchequer investment under the HESIF II programme and aligned with Trinity's strategic plan and sustainability objectives, TSR will deliver high-quality, future-ready infrastructure that supports academic excellence, research growth, student experience, and climate action targets.

The programme is being delivered within a robust governance framework in line with the Public Spending Code, Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) and Trinity's Programme Management Office (PMO) processes.

Context

The Estates & Facilities Directorate are responsible for the planning and development of the University's buildings and sites and their operation and maintenance including energy supply and utility infrastructure support, as well as a wide range of engineering and technical services which improve efficiency and sustainability.

The University has 167 buildings owned or rented on 13 sites across Dublin with a total area of c. 335,000m2. There are 108 acres of land in freehold ownership (c. 50 acres of which is in the city centre.

The estate has a rich variety of building typologies with 25% of buildings being more than 200 years' old and 68% of buildings more than 100 years' old. The insurance replacement value of the estate is c. €2.3Bn

Qualifications

Essential
• A professional qualification (Level 8 minimum) such as architecture, engineering, quantity surveying, construction, project management, or suitable experience in the field of capital project management
• Membership of Engineers Ireland/Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland/ Society of Chartered Surveyors/Chartered Institute of Building/ Project Management Institute/Association of Project Managers or equivalent; or be willing to commence the application process for one of the above, within the first 12 months of employment.
