Case Manager, Resettlement, Mid West

Location: Limerick

Contract: Full Time, 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

The Purpose if this role is to work as a member of the Housing Support Services Team providing Housing support and management for customers accessing Focus Ireland Housing Services in Limerick.

What you will do:

  • Work within the overall objectives of Focus Ireland as part of the Support Team based in CRFI under the supervision of the Project Leader.

  • Ensure rent and all charges are collected in line with Focus Ireland Rent Policy, and that tenancy and licence agreements are clearly understood by residents.

  • Provide key working support to clients on the Housing Support Programme, addressing a range of needs including addiction, relationships, self‑esteem, and independent living skills.

  • Plan and facilitate group work programmes for participants on the Transition Programme in collaboration with the team.

  • Deliver housing management and tenant support to long‑term residents, including providing a floating support service to off‑site Focus Ireland properties.

  • Liaise with external agencies and make appropriate referrals to ensure residents access the supports needed for independent living.

  • Conduct community and home visits as required, including lone working in line with policy and safety procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records, prepare written and monthly reports, and utilise internal systems such as the Database and MIP in line with policy.

  • Support residents in maintaining their accommodation, including upkeep standards and reporting of repairs.

  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders, and maintain regular communication with the Project Leader regarding case developments.

  • Contribute to service development, including participation in reviews, creation of local information resources, delivery of information sessions, and attendance at meetings, training, and supervision.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and organisational policies, and undertake additional duties as assigned by the Project Leader.

What you will need:

  • A Third Level qualification at degree level in the area of social care i.e. youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology etc and/or be a CORU registered Social Care Worker.

  • Extensive experience working in a social care setting.

  • Group work experience, particularly facilitation.

  • Key-working experience.

  • Experience of working in housing or homelessness

  • Advocacy and liaising with other agencies.

  • Ability to cope with and manage Lone Working including out of hours work.

  • Full driver’s license with access to car.
