Project Worker, Greenhills South Dublin Aftercare
Location: Dublin
Contract: Full Time, Permanent Contract
The purpose if this position is to work as part of the Aftercare Team on a 7 day rota to provide care and support for the young people resident in the project as they prepare for independent living.
What you will do:
Work within the overall aims and objectives of Focus Ireland and in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Develop and implement individual care plans to support residents in progressing towards independent living.
Provide holistic support to young people, including self‑care, health, budgeting, domestic skills, and confidence‑building.
Advocate on behalf of residents in areas such as housing, social work, social welfare, education, training, and legal rights.
Liaise with and refer residents to relevant external agencies and services.
Provide one‑to‑one support and key working to residents within the project.
Assist in the planning and facilitation of group work sessions for residents.
Work as part of a rota covering a 7‑day service.
Support the maintenance of a clean, safe, and well‑managed living environment within the project.
Maintain accurate case records, statistics, and provide regular updates to the Project Leader on individual cases.
Attend meetings, supervision sessions, training, and contribute to project evaluation and service development.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, work collaboratively with other Focus Ireland services, and undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
What you will need:
A Third Level qualification at degree level in the area of social care i.e. youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology etc and/or be a CORU registered Social Care Worker.
Extensive, relevant work experience working with young people in care or marginalised young people.
Experience of key-working clients or individual case-work.
Experience of managing challenging behaviour.

Good understanding of the issues affecting young people leaving care and in aftercare.
