We are now accepting applications for our 2026 Graduate GIS Consultant Programme. Working with the latest Esri technology, you will gain an understanding of how our customers across a range of sectors use ArcGIS and will use your skills to help them be even more successful.

Overview

When joining our 2-year graduate programme, you will experience key areas of our business, working alongside our specialists, developing your skills and knowledge whilst sharing in our success. You'll work through rotations in our different departments, including:

  • Sales Support:
  • Technical Support
  • Marketing
  • Professional Services
  • Technical Pre-Sales, Customer Care, and Content Curation
  • Lifelong Learning:


Working with the latest Esri technology, you will understand how our customers are using the ArcGIS Platform and develop the skills to help them be even more successful. You will interact with a wide variety of organisations across a range of industries, including environment, government, public safety, utilities, telecoms, retail, and education.

At the end of our 2-year programme, we will work in partnership to balance business requirements with your desired career aspirations to find you a suitable role within the company. We will look at how your skills and approach to work best fit within the business and explore opportunities for your continued success here at Esri Ireland.

What do we ideally look for in a graduate application?

  • Holding, or predicted to achieve, at least a 2:1 in a relevant degree subject in GIS, Geography, IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering or similar.
  • Graduates who are genuinely keen to develop a career within GIS.
  • Excellent communicators, with good presentation skills
  • Problem solvers, who can analyse data and situations.
  • A good, tailored cover letter and an obvious passion to join us.
  • Ability to work in or relocate to the required location for the position applied for
  • Able to work full-time in the UK and/or the Republic of Ireland and pass a basic security clearance.

Requirements
  • Available to start in September 2026
  • Willing to travel to our Holywood office in Northern Ireland for periods of time during the 2-year programme
  • Eligible to work in the UK and/or the Republic of Ireland; unfortunately, we cannot sponsor an application.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use, the ArcGIS Platform. Awareness of trends in the wider IT industry, with an understanding of how they relate to GIS and Esri Ireland
  • A commercial understanding of the impact of technology with a vision for how GIS can enhance the effectiveness of an organisation.
  • Effective and flexible time management with the ability to prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of JavaScript or Python would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside of the box and be confident to suggest better ways of working.
  • A willingness to work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment as part of a technical team of like-minded people.
  • The ability to take the initiative on tasks in a work environment.
  • Being the holder of a clean and valid driving license would be beneficial, but not essential


Qualifications
  • You must hold (or be predicted to achieve) at least a 2:1 in a relevant degree subject: GIS, Geography, or IT (including Computer Science and Software Engineering) from a Third Level Educational Institute
  • A Master's in GIS or a relevant degree may be beneficial, but is not essential

Applications for the Graduate Programme will close on Monday, the 2nd of March, 2026.

Please apply as soon as possible to be included in earlier interviews and assessments and have the best opportunity to secure a place on the programme.

Interview process: Initial video interviews will be held with shortlisted applicants in March 2026 for the graduate programme. Successful candidates will then be invited to formal interviews or assessments. Graduate Programme assessments will take place in March/April. Please note that you may not receive a response to your application until after the closing date for the programme has passed.
